Todd barefoot and a-mazed
Buderim Weekly, 21 March 2007
Blindfolded, barefoot and backwards through the Bellingham Maze was the challenge for Todd Widdicombe of Hot 91.1.
The breakfast team made the trip out to the Bellingham Maze on the Tourist Drive at Tanawha as part of their Do Stuff to Todd challenge each Wednesday.
Owners of the maze, Sophy and Wayne Wrangell, delighted in torturing Todd by challenging the unsuspecting announcer to do the maze using the 3 B's, Blindfolded, Barefoot and Backwards!
The challenge of the maze was the brainchild of Mountain Creek resident Courtney Masters.
"I've taken my two children to the maze and we had so much fun. I knew it would be a huge challenge for Todd when I heard they were planning to make him use a blindfold," Courtney said.
"Watching from the observation deck it became obvious that Todd was hopelessly lost.
"Todd and the whole team from Hot 91.1 were great sports about it and we all had a good laugh," said Sophy Wrangell.
"On average the maze takes 20-25 minutes to complete, and amaz ingly Todd found his way out in one hour!
Bellingham Maze is a living hedge maze. The attraction features a large hedge maze, new rope maze, tyre maze, mini maze tile mats and a large walk-through bird aviary.
